Casper Tengstedt, 26, will thus reunite with former coach Jens Berthel Askou in Toulouse. He will also be the fourth Dane in the Toulouse squad this season, alongside Askou and his compatriots Rasmus Nicolaisen and Thomas Jorgensen.
"It’s not my first time at the stadium, as I previously had the chance to face Toulouse with Benfica in the Europa League. It was a high-level match with a fantastic atmosphere. I’m here to give my best and help Toulouse have a great season! I’m already eager to play and fully focused," says Tengstedt to the Toulouse website.
Tengstedt joined Feyenoord from Benfica last summer for €6 million and made 23 official appearances. In total, he logged 611 minutes of playing time in the Eredivisie and the Europa League last season for Feyenoord - the vast majority as a substitute. Even so, he scored five times, which works out to a goal in just over every full match he played.
The striker had not been part of the matchday squad in three of Feyenoord's four games this season, while remaining an unused substitute against Cambuur.
