The Gothenburg derby between Orgryte and IFK Goteborg was abandoned after a fire broke out in the away end. Elsewhere in Allsvenskan, Sirius have extended their lead at the top to five points thanks to a win at Djurgarden.

Orgryte A-A IFK Goteborg

The first top-flight meeting between Gamla Ullevi tenants Orgryte and Goteborg since 2009 failed to reach half-time, as the game was initially suspended shortly before the break and then abandoned.

Promoted Orgryte had won just once since their return, but that is once more than bottom-of-the-table IFK, whose season has reached a new low after a handful of their fans in the away end set Orgryte scarves and banners on fire.

Referee Glenn Nyberg took the players off the field in the 40th minute, and over an hour later, the decision was made to abandon the game with Goteborg leading 2-1.

Coincidentally, the match had begun with a 10-minute silent protest from the fans, against what they believe to be the authorities' attempts to kill the atmosphere at Swedish matches.

With the volume cranked back up again midway through the first half, Blavitt went ahead when Sebastian Clemmensen played the ball infield for August Erlingmark to guide into the bottom corner, completing a sweeping move. Seven minutes later, Clemmensen was again the provider, this time with a curling cross that was tucked home by Benjamin Brantlind.

In the 37th minute, the designated home side pulled a goal back when a brilliant counter-attack resulted in William Hofvander slamming the ball into the top corner, and that goal appeared to be the catalyst for the unsavoury scenes that followed soon after.

The abandonment leaves Goteborg still waiting for a victory and on three points, with OIS just two points and places clear. A decision on whether the match will be replayed or continued at a later date remains to be confirmed.

Djurgarden 2-3 Sirius

There was an eventful evening in Stockholm, too, but thankfully it was purely for sporting reasons, as Sirius continued their excellent campaign with a victory over Djurgarden that re-establishes their five-point cushion over their title rivals, as the hosts lost their two-game winning streak.

The visitors' unbeaten start was under threat 13 minutes in when Bo Hegland's outswinging corner was met by a bullet header Mikael Anderson to give Djurgarden the lead.

But two goals in five minutes swung things in Sirius' favour late in the half - Melker Heier clipped the ball through for Marcus Lindberg to poke past the goalkeeper, before Isak Bjerkebo got free on the left and played the ball across to give Robbie Ure the simplest of tap-ins.

However, the Iron Stoves were again the side who started brighter after the restart, levelling six minutes in when a ball to the far post was knocked back across by Hegland, and Tobias Anker turned the ball into his own net when under pressure from Kristian Lien.

That failed to upset the Uppsala side, who went ahead again six minutes later, as Ure turned provider, finding an unmarked Neo Jonsson in the area and he powered in the winner from eight yards out.

It's three wins on the bounce for Sirius since their only draw of the season so far, while Djurgarden sit fifth having missed the chance to climb to third.
