20:57 CET - JANNIK SINNER HAS WON THE 2026 WIMBLEDON TITLE! The 24-year-old Italian has held his nerve, and his serve, to close out the fourth set and win the men’s singles final 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4, defending last year's crown.
Despite losing the opening set narrowly, Sinner wasn’t broken even once all match by his opponent, Alexander Zverev. He continues to dominate the German, whom he has now beaten 10 times on the trot, quite incredibly. In those 10 matches, Sinner has won 22 sets to three.
It's a crushing loss for Zverev, who started well and never gave up, but he did break his Grand Slam duck by winning the French Open earlier this year and so at least that monkey is off his back.
This is Sinner’s fifth Grand Slam title - his second at Wimbledon to go with his two Australian Open titles and singular US Open title. He is just the 10th man to defend a Wimbledon crown. Put simply, he is a living legend dominating the sport before our eyes.

20:42 CET - We have our second break of the match, and Jannik Sinner has gone 4-3 up in the fourth set to put himself on the brink of back-to-back Wimbledon titles!
If he holds serve, he will be one game away from the Championship. Zverev now has to do something he hasn’t done all day: break back…
20:08 CET - And there's the set! Jannik Sinner crushes his service game to seal the third set 6-3 and lead the match 6-7, 7-6, 6-3.
It's been attritional and extremely close so far, but Alexander Zverev getting broken for the first time in this match feels like a real turning point in this saga. It's a simple equation now: the German must win the fourth set to force a decider.
20:05 CET - Would you believe it, for the first time in the entire match, one of the guys has lost a game on serve! And it's Jannik Sinner who converts a break point for the first time all day to go 5-3 up in the third... turning point?
19:22 CET - In a final of such fine margins, it was Sinner who capitalised on a small opening in the tiebreak this time as the reigning champion levels this match at one set each. It felt like Sinner had the edge in that set, and the stats back it up as the world number one had more winners and fewer unforced errors than his counterpart.
18:58 CET - Much like the first set, nothing separates these two in the second set as we stay on serve with Zverev leading 5-4.
Both players are playing some exceptional tennis, though, and Sinner is just starting to get more joy. As it stands, we are heading to another tense tiebreak...
18:18 CET - Alexander Zverev has taken the first set against the odds! In a set of fine margins and dominance on serve, Zverev forced a mini break in the tiebreak at a crucial moment to take the first set and move into a surprising lead.
18:04 CET - Neither Sinner nor Zverev could find the crucial break of serve, so onto a first set tiebreak we go.
This is tight and this is tense.

16:30 CET - It is almost go time in the 2026 men's final! The players will walk out onto the court in around 30 minutes to an expectant Centre Court, and then the waiting will be over and the showdown will commence.
15:45 CET - Hanyu Guo and Kristina Mladenovic have caused an upset in the women's doubles final to clinch the title in straight sets! The 10th seeds defeated the second seeds, Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazil's Luisa Stefani, 6-3, 7-5 in just over an hour and a half.

It's not a huge surprise, though, as Jannik Sinner has won his last nine meetings with Alexander Zverev. The Italian No. 1 has conceded just two sets since his last loss to Zverev at the 2023 US Open, with Sinner holding Zverev to zero sets in their last six H2H meetings.

13:35 CET - Whilst the main attraction of the day is undoubtedly Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev, there is the women's doubles final to look forward to first.
The big favourites for the title are the impressive second seeds of Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazil's Luisa Stefani, but their opponents, Kristina Mladenovic and Hanyu Guo, have grown into the tournament and won't be easily beaten.

13:00 CET - Good afternoon and welcome to the men's Wimbledon 2026 final! Recent history between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev suggests this final is very much Sinner's to lose, with Sinner winning all four encounters with Zverev in 2026.
However, unlike any previous meeting, Zverev is now a Grand Slam champion after taking the French Open title, so we might just be looking at a different Zverev than we have seen before. Evidence from his best-ever Wimbledon and run to the final is that this is a Zverev with newfound confidence in his game.
The two top seeds have also never met before on grass, so it is uncharted territory for both players.
After battling to an unconvincing five-set win in his opening match, Sinner has returned to his imperious best as the tournament has progressed, and it was a masterclass performance by the world number one against seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in the semi-final.
Zverev, meanwhile, has also only dropped two sets all tournament as he was forced into four sets against Alexander Blockx in the opening round and again against Jiri Lehecka in the last 16. The German has also grown into the tournament and was incredibly impressive in his semi-final dismantling of Arthur Fery.
Wimbledon 2026
Wimbledon took place from June 29th to July 12th at the All England Club in south-west London. It is the third of the four Grand Slams in the tennis season, and the only one played on grass.
