The 25th and final week (September 22nd to September 28th) of the 2025 MLB season has come to a close, and it provided us with a ton of highlights!

From playoff berths to divisional crowns to classic, awesome highlights, the final week of the season was nothing short of amazing!

I would like to thank everyone who tuned in each week throughout the season to join me in appreciating the game's best!

Now, let's get into the top highlights of the week.

15. Charlie Morton one last time

Ready to get emotional? The Atlanta Braves gave starting pitcher Charlie Morton a proper send off in his 18th, and possibly final, MLB season.

After a down year with the Baltimore Orioles, being traded to the Detroit Tigers, who then released him, the Braves brought their man home for one last hoorah. How can you not be romantic about baseball?

14. Mike Trout dual home runs

The Los Angeles Angels had yet another bad year. But their leader, Mike Trout, made sure to give fans a little more excitement before the season ended!

13. Noelvi Marte inside the park

Marte was an absolute highlight reel for the Reds this past week and, possibly, single-handedly saved their season and got them to the playoffs!

12. Garrett Crochet 250 K's

Boston Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet, who could possibly win the AL Cy Young Award, became the only pitcher in the league to reach 250 strikeouts on the season!

11. Tyler Stephenson walk-off

There was a lot to be excited about this past week if you were a Reds fan - adding this Stephenson walk-off homer to keep their postseason hopes alive - and it panned out!

10. Austin Martin leaping catch

The Minnesota Twins' season was all but over. However, Martin sacrificed his body for this catch as if the team were competing for a postseason spot!

9. Noevli Marte catch

Remember what I said about Marte earlier? Yeah, he had a clutch home run robbery as well.

8. Edmundo Sosa's three homers

After not playing for 12 days, Sosa came in for the Phillies and launched three home runs en route to his team setting a franchise record with eight in the game!

7. Clayton Kershaw's final inning

Clayton Kershaw tossed his last-ever regular-season inning this past week and he got a standing ovation from the opposing Seattle Mariners crowd!

6. Mariners clinch playoff spot

Nothing better than clinching a playoff spot in a come-from-behind victory like the Mariners did this past week!

5. Mariners clinch AL West

Oh, wait, yes, there is - clinching the AL West for the first time since 2001!

4. Yankees walk-off clinch

A come-from-behind walk-off to clinch the postseason for the Bronx Bombers!

3. Red Sox walk-off clinch

It was a party in Fenway this past week as they, too, clinched their postseason spot!

2. Padres walk-off clinch

There's something a little more special when a team clinches a playoff spot in extra innings against the best team in baseball like the Padres did last week!

1. Cal Raleigh's 60th

How could Cal Raleigh's 60th home run not be No. 1 on this list? Raleigh finished the greatest season ever by a catch and became the only player this season to reach the 60 home run mark.
