The penultimate matchday of the UEFA Women's Champions League occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday, where four more teams booked their place in the knockout round. Here is one stat from each match from the round.

Arsenal squeeze Twente by as PSG are out

9 - Juventus booked their spot in the knockout rounds after a convincing 5-0 defeat of St. Polten on the road. Captain Cristiana Girelli converted a pair of penalties for the Bianconere to earn a third win of the league phase. For the second time, Juve have defeated the Austrian side, scoring a total of nine goals in the process.

3 - The biggest shock came in Belgium, where OH Leuven were able to keep out Paris Saint-Germain in a goalless match. Despite outshooting the hosts 22-6, PSG could not get the crucial goal to keep them in the competition. Instead, they are eliminated at this stage for the first time. As for Leuven, they have kept their third clean sheet in the UWCL, and first of the league phase.

5 - A goal in each half did the trick for Real Madrid, who got the better of Wolfsburg 2-0 to claim a top 12 place. It is the second year in a row the Spanish side successfully negotiated this stage of the tournament. Despite having a woman sent off at the end of each half, Real did enough in the end to hand Wolfsburg their second loss of the league phase. In fact, Die Wolfinnen have been beaten by Spanish opposition for the fifth time.

1 - Last season's champions Arsenal did just enough to win against Twente, with Beth Mead scoring the winner 10 minutes in to beat the Dutch club 1-0. Although they had several attempts in the 90 minutes, the Gunners only managed the one goal. They move on at the expense of the Enschede-based club, who failed to match their draw against Chelsea from the first round. Twente managed just one shot on target in the whole match during the defeat.

Lyon dominate in Manchester with Barcelona and Chelsea cruising

27 - Barcelona were made to work in their home clash with Benfica. In the end, a pair of goals four minutes apart saw last campaign's finalists prevailed 3-1. It was not Barca's best performance, but it was enough for them to remain top of the league phase. In five matches between the pair, the Catalans have scored 27 times against their Iberian rivals.

2 - It took a penalty from Lorena Azzaro gave Paris FC the edge in their 1-0 defeat of 10-women Valerenga. That win saw the 2012/13 semi-finalists move through with a game to spare. The Norwegian side, who finished second in their league this year, will need a win on matchday 6 to join the French club in the knockout round playoffs. It was the second time Paris FC have won away in Norway across three trips (2-0-1).

13 - Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich played the most entertaining match of the round, as both sides held the lead at one stage. The hosts got a late goal from Fiamma Iannuzzi saw the game end 2-2 in the Spanish capital. Atleti are just about through, while Bayern already progressed before the round began. The Germans, have conceded 13 times in the league phase, the most of any the top 12.

15 - There was no messing around from Chelsea, who followed up their shocking weekend defeat with a 6-0 success against AS Roma. Five different Blues players found the back of the net after Valentina Bergamaschi scored an own goal a quarter of an hour in. Chelsea had as many goals as Roma had shots in the match, with the Giallorosse being eliminated with their fourth loss of the league phase. The West London club have gone unbeaten across all 15 group phase home games all-time (11-4-0).

12 - Daelle Melchie Dumornay's double helped Lyon to a 3-0 victory over Manchester United on the road. Having outshot the Red Devils 15-3, the record champions are nearing a direct place in the quarter-finals. United have conceded eight of their nine goals in the UWCL league phase in their last two matches. Meanwhile, Lyon have beaten an English team in the Women's Champions League for the 12th time.
