We've reached the semi-final stage at WTA tournaments in Sao Paulo and Guadalajara, while it's another busy day of Davis Cup qualifiers as several of tennis' biggest nations look to secure a spot in the Final 8.

01:15 CET - The United States take a 2-1 lead over Czehcia after Austin Kraijcek and Rajeev Ram defeated Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik 7-6 (6), 5-7, 6-4.

23:46 CET - The big names stepped up in the second tier of the Davis Cup today, with the tie between Brazil and Greece level thanks to wins for Joao Fonseca and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Cameron Norrie won Great Britain their tie against Poland, securing their place in next year's qualifiers.

23:35 CET - Today's Davis Cup action is ending in style, with Taylor Fritz vs Jiri Lehecka and Frances Tiafoe vs Jakub Mensik in the tie between the US and the Czech Republic.

However, the start of the singles action in that tie has been delayed by bad weather, which has halted the doubles clash between the nations.

20:27 CET - We have a shock in Sao Paulo as world number 214 Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah is into tomorrow's final, thanks to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over fifth seed Renata Zarazua.

19:47 CET - Indonesia's Janice Tjen has advanced to the final in Sao Paulo after battling through a tight opening set to defeat Francesca Jones 7-6(0), 6-3.

She'll face either Renata Zarazua or Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah in tomorrow's showpiece.

18:29 CET - France have sealed their place in the last eight of the Davis Cup, with Corentin Moutet seeing off Marin Cilic in two competitive sets, 7-5, 6-4.

Elsewhere, Austria have also progressed after Jurij Rodionov thrashed Marton Fucsovics 6-2, 6-1 in just 63 minutes.

18:03 CET - Denmark are on the brink of the next round with Elmer Moller fighting back from a set down to beat Spain's Jaume Munar 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

17:02 CET - Argentina have moved into the last eight of the Davis Cup after securing a straight-sets doubles win over the Netherlands that secured them a 3-0 victory in the tie.

11:17 CET - Belgium have moved into a 2-0 lead in their tie against Australia after Zizou Bergs battled to an impressive 7-6(4), 6-4 victory over Jordan Thompson.

Meanwhile, Germany secured a fourth successive win over Japan, with teenager Justin Engel proving too strong for Rei Sakamoto, 6-3, 6-7(2), 10-7.
