Kobbie Mainoo has reportedly held concerns about his Manchester United future for several months, and the midfielder is eyeing a possible January move, though he could see his exit blocked once again.

The 20-year-old asked the club to leave on loan in the last few days of the summer transfer window, but Manchester United turned his request down.

He has since been told to fight for his place under Ruben Amorim, who recently admitted Mainoo will have to supplant club captain Bruno Fernandes if he wants more minutes.

According to ESPN, the England international has had concerns over his place at the club for several months and will once again push to leave if things don’t improve by January.

It’s understood Mainoo wants first-team football so he’s able to earn a place in Thomas Tuchel’s 2026 World Cup squad.
