According to a statement from the record Kenyan champions, the season tickets will only cover home games and will officially go on sale starting with the club’s first match of the new season against Murang'a Seal at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday, September 19th.
According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), the delayed new season will now kick off this weekend with seven matches lined up across the country.
Fresh from being eliminated from the CAF Champions League after losing 7-1 on aggregate against Pyramids, Gor Mahia will return to domestic action seeking to win a record 23rd league title.
Gor Mahia's journey in the lucrative competition ended after losing 2-0 in the first leg and 5-1 in the return leg played in Cairo.
Season tickets to cover home matches
"In a move aimed at rewarding loyal supporters, the club has applied a 20% discount across all three ticket tiers," read part of the statement from the club.
"The season tickets will cover all 17 of Gor Mahia’s home matches in the 2026/27 campaign."
The statement added: "Under the new pricing structure, a regular season ticket will cost Ksh4,080 for the 17 home games, representing a significant saving compared to purchasing individual match tickets.
"VIP season tickets are priced at Ksh13,600, while the premium VVIP package will go for Ksh40,800."
Confirming the introduction of season tickets, Gor Mahia Secretary General Nic Arum said: "We are delighted to introduce season tickets for our loyal supporters. This is our way of making it easier and more affordable for fans to stand with Gor Mahia week in, week out."
In a separate statement, Gor Mahia explained to fans why buying season tickets would be a beneficial idea. The club further said the season tickets will enhance the match-day experience and provide an exclusive supporter journey throughout the season.
"As a season pass holder, you enjoy priority access, exclusive experiences, special offers and opportunities to connect more closely with the club," added the statement.
Some of the privileges include VIP & dedicated stadium access, where fans will enjoy convenient access to match venues through the designated Gate A Season Pass entrance, helping them to get into the stadium faster and with greater ease.
Another important factor of the ticket is Express Match-Day entry, where the ticket holder will skip the queues and enjoy a smoother, faster entry experience on match days through the designated Season Pass access point.
Fans will also enjoy priority seating in designated areas according to their Season Pass category, which will give them a more convenient and comfortable way to experience Gor Mahia matches.
"Your loyalty matters. Existing Season Pass holders may enjoy exclusive renewal offers, incentives and discounts when renewing for the next season," the statement continued.
The fans will have an opportunity to take part in selected player and Gor Mahia legend meet-and-greet sessions, supporter interactions and special experiences, while selected Season Pass holders may receive opportunities for hospitality upgrades, premium match-day experiences and special access, subject to availability.
Gor Mahia must 'wake up'
Gor Mahia coach Charles Akonnor has challenged the players to forget the Champions League exit and shift focus to defending the league title.
"The Champions League is over; we have got to focus. The draw was a little harsh on us, but that is not an excuse," Akonnor said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
"It is about the players getting to wake up because this is their job. Such mistakes are not acceptable; we have got to focus."
Other league matches for Saturday include Posta Rangers vs Shabana FC, Mathare United vs APS Bomet, and Ulinzi Stars against Tusker.
On Sunday, September 20th, AFC Leopards will host Bandari, promoted 3K FC tackle Mara Sugar, Migori Youth confront former champions Kenya Police FC, and Nairobi United host KCB.
