The emphatic victory secured a 10-0 aggregate win for the Black Queens, who had claimed a 3-0 victory in the first leg in Mauritius last Thursday.
Head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren’s side dominated proceedings, scoring three goals in the first half before adding four more after the break.
Captain Portia Boakye opened the scoring for Ghana before Evelyn Badu doubled the advantage. Ajegipina Zakaria added a third goal to give the hosts a comfortable lead at half-time.
The Black Queens maintained their attacking intensity after the restart, with their substitutes contributing to the emphatic result.
Benedicte Simon scored in the 73rd minute after coming off the bench, while Jennifer Cudjoe added a fifth goal in the 87th minute.
Nancy Amoh and Mukarama Abdulai then scored late goals to complete the 7-0 victory and confirm Ghana’s progression.
The result keeps the Black Queens on course in their quest to qualify for the Olympic women’s football tournament for the first time in the country’s history.
Ghana will now turn their attention to the third round of the African qualifiers as they continue their bid to secure a place at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
