Round 10 of the Dutch Eredivisie is underway, and while everyone's eyes are on the derby between Feyenoord and PSV on Sunday, Saturday's slate of games brought plenty of drama and sensation already.

sc Heerenveen - NAC Breda : 3-3

sc Heerenveen and NAC Breda kicked the weekend off in spectacular fashion, drawing 3-3 in a packed Abe Lenstra Stadion in Frisia.

Former Feyenoord and Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo had a dismal start to his first-half cameo, scoring an own goal just fourteen minutes after replacing the injured Rio Hillen for visitors NAC. Teammates Leo Greiml and Sydney van Hooijdonk quickly got NAC back in it, though, scoring two lightning-quick goals ten minutes after the break.

Maas Willemsen brought Heerenveen back alongside NAC in the 68th minute, twelve minutes before Czech striker Vaclav Sejk passed a lost Daniel Bielica and scored arguably the easiest goal of his young career.

Just when everyone thought all was said and done, however, NAC star Mohamed Nassoh salvaged an extremely late point for the Breda outfit by firing home a cross from Charles-Andreas Brym in the 94th minute, earning NAC their second-straight draw.

Fortuna Sittard - FC Groningen: 1-2

High-flying FC Groningen beat Fortuna Sittard on their own turf on Saturday, winning their second game in four attempts to go up to fourth in the Eredivisie table.

Midfielder David van der Werff opened the scoring for the visitors, who took a 3-hour drive for the away game in southern Limburg, in the sixth minute. Groningen were on roses after an hour, courtesy of a rare Marvin Peersman goal - the Belgian defender scored his maiden Eredivisie goal in his 94th appearance, calmly capping off a quick green-white counter.

Former Wolves striker Paul Gladon got one back for Fortuna Sittard in the last fifteen minutes, but could not inspire a good enough comeback. Groningen grabbed their sixth win of the young season - a total they only reached in February in the previous campaign.

Sparta Rotterdam - Telstar: 1-0

Sparta beat promoted outfit Telstar to grab their second-straight league win and first home win since August.

Norwegian star striker Tobias Lauritsen broke the deadlock in the 25th minute, tapping in a cross from Feyenoord loanee Ayoub Oufkir to score the only goal of the evening.

Telstar's biggest chance of the evening only came after eighty minutes, when Guus Offerhaus saw his effort from the edge of the box whistle wide. Telstar were left winless for the fourth time in five games and remain in the bottom two. Sparta improved to sixth and will await the results of Twente and Utrecht on Sunday.

FC Volendam - Heracles Almelo: 3-0

After a 7-0 beating last week, Heracles' woes continued in round 10 when promoted outfit FC Volendam thrashed ten-man Heracles 3-0 on Saturday evening.

Kick-off was delayed after hooligans from both teams were looking for confrontations on the side of the pitch, prompting referee Danny Makkelie to call everyone inside.

Heracles held on for nearly the entire first half, until Volendam midfielder Nordin Bukala opened the scoring in the 42nd minute. Surinamese international Yannick Leliendal fired the ball home from distance shortly after the break.

Heracles' evening took a turn for the worse when striker Mario Engels, who already dove in the first half and was booked for protesting after another fall, was booked for simulation and sent off with his second yellow card of the evening. Aurelio Oehlers completed Heracles' painful night with a stunning 3-0 in the 66th minute.

The Almelo outfit are on just three points after ten weeks, seven fewer than Saturday's opponents and four fewer than any other team in the league.

PEC Zwolle - NEC Nijmegen: 2-2

NEC couldn't manage to put a halt to their recent fall down the table after only managing to salvage a 2-2 draw away at PEC Zwolle on Saturday evening.

After winning their first three games of the season, and scoring twelve goals in those three games, NEC have only managed to win one game since (2-1 vs AZ on September 28th) and got off to a good start away at lowly PEC Zwolle, who conceded the opener, courtesy of Japanese striker Koki Ogawa, after nine minutes.

The hosts concluded a quiet first half with a surprising equaliser, which midfielder Jamiro Monteiro scored with a curling free-kick from the edge of the box.

NEC hit back at PEC shortly after the break via Ajax loanee Ahmetcan Kaplan, who scored his first goal for the Nijmegen outfit. The visitors' lead was short-lived, however, as PEC top scorer Koen Kostons put the ball in an empty net following a quick counter.

NEC could fall out of the virtual play-off spots as early as Sunday, depending on what happens at FC Twente and FC Utrecht. PEC Zwolle, meanwhile, stay in the danger zone as they keep hold of the sixteenth place.
