Wednesday, December 10th
21:49 CET - Half-time across Europe, where we have had plenty of action.
The main headline is that Manchester City have fought back from a goal down to lead Real Madrid at the break, Erling Haaland inevitably getting on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen lead Newcastle 1-0, whilst Arsenal are ahead by the same scoreline at Club Brugge.
Benfica have the advantage over Napoli, whilst it's 1-1 between Borussia Dortmund and Bodo/Glimt.
We have no goals in the games between PSG and Athletic Club, as well as Juventus and Pafos.

21:43 CET - Manchester City hit the front. After being given a penalty, Erling Haaland steps up to make it 2-1 against Real Madrid just before the break.
Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt have levelled against Borussia Dortmund through Haitam Aleesami.
21:36 CET - A quick response from Manchester City. Their breakout defender of the season - Nico O'Reilly - has the leveller at the Bernabeu.
21:29 CET - First blood to Real Madrid! Jude Bellingham slots in Rodrygo to put Los Blancos up against Manchester City.

21:25 CET - In Belgium, Arsenal have put their dominance to good use against Club Brugge as Noni Madueke has put them 1-0 to the good in the 25th minute with a sublime effort.
21:18 CET - Over to the other game in Germany tonight, where Borussia Dortmund have taken the lead against Bodo/Glimt.
It is Julian Brandt with the opener, after some good work from Fabio Silva in the 19th minute - his second goal in two games.
Meanwhile, in Lisbon, Benfica have the advantage over Napoli with Richard Rios grabbing a rebound to give his side the lead.
21:13 CET - Our first goal in the 21:00 CET kick-offs comes for Bayer Leverkusen. A corner to the back post finds Robin Andrich and the captain's header comes off Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes and past Aaron Ramsdale.
21:00 CET - Here we go then, we are underway across Europe to conclude Matchday Six.
Remember, we have selected audio commentaries of tonight's games - follow all of them right here.

20:47 CET - Our final destination on this whistle-stop tour is the Signal Iduna Park as Borussia Dortmund take on Bodo/Glimt.
Having missed out by just a point last season, Dortmund are gunning to secure a top-eight finish in this season’s league phase, scoring exactly four goals in four of their five UCL games this term (W3, D1, L1).
Bodo are one of three teams yet to grab a win this season. What can they do tonight?

20:42 CET - Over to Italy, where Juventus are favourites for their clash against Pafos. But, the Cypriot side have performed above expectations so far, having the same record as tonight's opponents.
Both sides have one win, three draws and a loss in their five games - will they have the same record when the 90 minutes are up?

20:36 CET - We've had two cracking games to start tonight's Champions League action with more late goals to boot.
Copenhagen have rallied to see off Villarreal in a five-goal thriller as Andreas Cornelius earned them all three points to move them two points away from the playoff spots and keep their Spanish opponents without a win in the campaign so far.

Meanwhile, Oscar Gloukh netted a brace for Ajax, to see them shake off their poor form and beat Qarabag 4-2 in a rainy Azerbaijan.

20:27 CET - It's a great turnaround from Ajax! They are 3-2 up now against Qarabag with time running out as Anton Gaaei nets to give some joy to his fans in a season that has been short of the mark.
20:25 CET - Let's get over to Portugal, where we have the purists' encounter as Benfica take on Napoli.
Rasmus Hojlund heads up Napoli's forces, whilst David Neres, who has been in fine form in recent weeks, also gets the nod.

20:20 CET - Ajax are back in the contest! They have made it 2-2 in the rain against Qarabag, with Oscar Gloukh netting in the 78th minute.
20:13 CET - Our next stop is in Germany, where Bayer Leverkusen face Newcastle United, with just a point separating them in the League Phase table.
Opta have the win probability very close too, with the visitors shading it with a 3% higher probability.

20:05 CET - It's been a chaotic week in the offices of Club Brugge, after they sacked manager Nicky Hayen, a shock for the playing squad.
Things don't get much easier for them tonight, as they face potentially the best team in the competition on current form - Arsenal.
Viktor Gyokeres - in need of some goals for the Gunners - starts up front, whilst there's a surprise at the back with Christian Norgaard deputising at centre back as Arsenal's injuries in defence mount up.

20:00 CET - The goals are raining down in Spain now, as Villarreal draw level for a second time on the night against Copenhagen.
The leveller has come through Tanitoluwa Oluwaseyi - his first-ever goal in the competition.
19:55 CET - Our next stop on the continent is at San Mames, where Athletic Club sit 29th going into their encounter against reigning champions PSG, knowing they need to pick up wins to secure a playoff spot.
It will be a tough test for the Basque side against a strong side, with the likes of Bradley Barcola, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Vitinha all featuring.

19:52 CET - Back to the early games, where we have had three quick goals to start the second halves.

Over in Azerbaijan, Matheus Silva has given hosts Qarabag a 2-1 lead over Ajax in the 47th minute.
19:50 CET - Let's start our rundown of the news with the biggest game of the night. Real Madrid host Manchester City in what is becoming a regular occurrence in the Champions League. This one has a lot of meaning for Xabi Alonso, with a defeat potentially ending his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The injured Kylian Mbappe has been named on the bench for the Madristas, with Gonzalo Garcia getting the nod up front.
Follow the game from 21:00 CET.

23:30 CET - We will be back tomorrow for another slice of Champions League action as Real Madrid take on Manchester City as the headline act.
See you then!
23:00 CET - And it's now all over at San Siro and Camp Nou. That late Dominik Szoboszlai penalty has seen Liverpool pick up three more points in the Champions League as they look to arrest their domestic slide. The Reds winning the game 1-0 over Inter.

Marseille have also picked up all three points, resisting a second-half comeback from Royale Union SG to win the game 3-2. An unlucky night for the Belgian side, who saw two goals ruled out by VAR late on.

22:51 CET - A huge goal for Liverpool and Arne Slot. After 88 minutes, they are awarded a penalty at San Siro against Inter, and Mr Reliable, Dominik Szoboszlai, to make it 1-0. What impact will that have for their season?

22:37 CET - After his first goal for the club at the weekend, Xavi Simons is back in the goals once more, scoring a penalty kick to make it 3-0 to Tottenham over Slavia Prague. The pressure seems to be easing on manager Thomas Frank.
22:25 CET - Back to Monaco, where the hosts have finally broken the deadlock against Galatasaray, with Folarin Balogun scoring his third of the campaign to make it 1-0.
22:17 CET - It's that man again. Once more at the back post, Jules Kounde rises highest to head Barcelona into a 2-1 lead over Eintracht Frankfurt. Two goals in three minutes for the right back!
Very 'London buses' for the Frenchman tonight. He hadn't scored in this competition since the 2020/21 season, now two come along all at once.
Atletico Madrid have also netted twice in double time. Alexander Sorloth has got himself on the scoresheet to make it 3-1 against PSV.
22:14 CET - Instant impact from Marcus Rashford at Camp Nou. The second-half substitute floats a wicked ball to the back post to find the onrushing Jules Kounde, who heads in to make it 1-1 between Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Elsewhere, the goals are flying in now. Marseille now lead 3-1 over Saint-Gilloise thanks to another goal from Mason Greenwood, and Atalanta have levelled against Chelsea through former West Ham forward Gianluca Scamacca. That will be a sweet goal for him.
22:07 CET - Mohammed Kudus has netted from the spot to make it 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur over Slavia Prague, whilst in Monaco, the same can't be said for Denis Zakaria, who has missed his penalty against Galatasaray. That game is still goalless.

The Greek side absolutely battered their hosts statistically, taking 20 shots and notching an xG of 2.37, but they almost didn’t get the job in Astana, where the game was being held.
Kairat, meanwhile, are almost surely out of playoff contention now; they have just one point to their name.
