Elfsborg have gone to the top of the Allsvenskan for the time being as they beat Djurgarden 2-1 at home to maintain their unbeaten start, while Brommapojkarna were victorious, but Hammarby and Hacken were held to draws victors on Wednesday evening.

Elfsborg 2-1 Djurgarden

Djurgarden's perfect start to the campaign was ended by defeat to Malmon at the weekend, and their hopes of bouncing back were raised 19 minutes in this evening, when Bo Hegland's corner was nodded in at the near post by Piotr Johansson.

The visiting defence had already been stretched by the instant Elfsborg response by the time Matias Siltanen committed a foul off the ball at a corner, and Frederik Ihler converted the penalty to draw the home side level after 25 minutes.

1-1 was how things stayed until the 88th minute, when a corner played short was then whipped towards the near post, where the presence of Leo Ostman was enough to put off goalkeeper Jacob Rinne, who spilled the ball into his own net.

Elfsborg are the first team to reach double figures for the season, though either Sirius or Malmo can knock them off the top when the two meet on Thursday. It's two wins and two losses for the season for the Iron Stoves.

Vasteras 3-3 Hacken

The only side to take a point off Elfsborg this season are newly-promoted Vasteras, who took their tally for the season to five in a thrilling draw with Hacken, who came from behind times to stay unbeaten.

But the star of the day was the home side's Mikkel Ladefoged, who broke the deadlock four minutes in by heading home a Ismet Lushaku corner, though Hacken were level eight minutes on when Jeremy Agbonifo tapped home Adrian Svanback's ball across following a swift attack.

Just before half-time, Vasteras were back in front, and it was Ladefoged again who burst into the area before curling a beauty with his right foot around the goalkeeper.

The home side looked set for a first home win since their top-flight return with the hour mark approaching, when Jonathan Ring stole possession in the Hacken half and slipped the ball through to Ladefoged, who finished in style with his left foot to complete a perfect hat-trick.

But it wasn't to be for Gronvitt, who conceded six minutes later when Svanback turned from provider to scorer after good work from Mikkel Rygaard, and seven minutes from time, Amor Layouni set up Filip Helander to rescue a point for the Gothenburg club, who sit third on eight points.

Hammarby 1-1 Halmstad

For a while, Halmstad looked to be pulling off one of the shocks of the season away at Hammarby, but the hot-and-cold title favourites spared their blushes with a second-half equaliser.

The 3Arena crowd was silenced in the 10th minute when Ludvig Arvidsson's shot was saved by Warner Hahn, but he could only divert the ball to Otso Liimatta, who tucked away the rebound.

Bajen dominated the possession and shooting for the rest of the match, and despite putting eight past Orgryte at the weekend, could not find a way past Halmstad until the 58th minute, when a corner eventually found Frank Junior Adjei at the edge of the area, and he leathered the ball into the top corner.

Despite over half an hour to find a winner, Hammarby failed to do just that, and sit fourth with seven points despite scoring at least three goals more than every other side. Halmstad are still winless, but doubled their points total this evening.

Orgryte 1-2 Brommapojkarna

Still hurting from their 8-1 thumping at the hands of Hammarby, Orgryte suffered their second loss of the season at home to Brommapojkarna, who in turn earned their first win of the campaign.

Late in the first half, David Isso gave BP the lead when he flicked home Mads Hansen's cross, but the home side drew level midway through the second period when Christoffer Styffe climbed high to head in a Tobias Sana ball in.

But parity lasted all of five minutes, as Lukas Bjorklund, who had replaced Isso 15 minutes earlier, was on hand to tap in a square ball from Rasmas Orqvist to win it for the Bromma Boys. BP are now on five points, one more than their hosts after four matches each.
