San Jose Sharks rookie Michael Misa recorded his first career point during Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders.

Misa recorded a primary assist on teammate Adam Gaudette's second goal of the season to tie the game 2-2.

*Islanders currently lead 4-2.

Misa was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and made his debut with the Sharks on October 18th against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He took on No. 1 overall pick Matthew Schaefer, who assisted on the Islanders' first goal and scored their fourth for his first career multi-point game.

Misa put up a ridiculous 62 goals and 72 assists in 65 games as part of the OHL's Saginaw Spirit last year.

He would end up with a handful of awards following the eye-popping season, including the Red Tilson Trophy (MVP), Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy (most points), and Bobby Smith Trophy (high standards of play and academic excellence).

Misa's performance earned him First All-Star Team honours for both the CHL and OHL (under the CHL umbrella).

San Jose is currently winless. If they lose to New York, they'll be 0-4-2 on the year.

Their next game is on October 23rd against the New York Rangers.
