We are now down to just three candidates for the 2025 NFL MVP award and the race is closer than it has ever been.
So here's how our MVP tracker stacks up after Week 14!
1. Matthew Stafford (QB) - Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford put up another great performance in the Rams' dominant win over the Arizona Cardinals, posting 281 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Even after a few weeks, Stafford is the only quarterback in the NFL with over 30 passing touchdowns, now with 35 on the season. With four games left to go, Stafford needs seven more touchdowns to set a new career high.
Stafford also leaped Drake Maye to possess the best passer rating (113.1) in the NFL and remains fourth in the league in passing yards (3,354) for the second straight week.
Stafford's four interceptions are the fewest among the league's top-10 passers. The Rams now hold a 10-3 record and jumped up from the No. 8 offence in the league to No. 4.
Now, with the Rams sitting at 10-3 atop the NFC West division, this insane MVP race could come down to the final week of the season.
Stafford stays at No. 1 heading into Week 15, but it's a coin flip at this point.
2. Drake Maye (QB) - New England Patriots
Maye only continues to make a greater case with each passing week on why he deserves to win the MVP award.
The Patriots were on a bye this past week, so Maye's numbers remained the same as they were heading into Week 14.
Despite not throwing for over 300 yards in a game this season, Maye remains at No. 2 in passing with 3,412 yards. His 71.5% completion percentage still remains the best in football for yet another week
The only thing that really separates Maye from Stafford in terms of MVP leverage is the touchdown-interception totals. Stafford having 36-6 to Maye's 23-6 would be a massive point of argument to give the former the MVP should the season end before this week's games.
Maye does have 319 rushing yards and two touchdowns to add to his season totals as well.
But for now, Maye remains at No. 2 behind Stafford for the second straight week.
3. Jonathan Taylor (RB) - Indianapolis Colts
Taylor is officially on the outside looking in after yet another week of rushing for under 100 yards.
He did score for the first time in the past three games, but the award is a far cry for the running back who is still a prime candidate for the Offensive Player of the Year Award.
Taylor still leads the league in rushing with 1,356 on the season, but this is the first time since the start of the season that someone is even within Taylor's vicinity. Buffalo's James Cook sits just behind him with 1,308 yards.
He leaped Christian McCaffrey (1,655) in scrimmage yards, as the 49ers back was on a bye week, and sits at No. 2 behind Bijan Robinson (1,683) with 1,660 yards on the season. Taylor's 18 total touchdowns still leads the league for yet another week, but Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs is finally starting to be the one to creep up to him with 16.
In week 11, Taylor had more rushing yards than 12 of the teams in the league. Now, heading into Week 15, that number is at eight.
Taylor's aim of breaking both Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record (2,105) and LaDanian Tomlinson's touchdown record (28) are a far reach with five games left in the season.
The possibility of Taylor breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record, or LaDanian Tomlinson's record for most rushing touchdowns, is all but zero at this point.
Taylor will continue to remain at No. 3 unless something drastic happens.
