The Junior Springboks thrashed Scotland 73-14 on Wednesday to book their place in the semi-finals of the World Rugby U20 Championships.

South Africa headed into the game in full control of Pool A after beating Australia handsomely in their first outing before coming back to beat England in their second.

Despite knowing a solitary point on Wednesday would be enough to qualify, the Boks of the future were ruthless in an 11-try rout of the Scots, who scored two in reply.

Jaco Williams scored twice in the first half, while Ceano Everson crossed for two after the break at Stadio San Michele in Calvisano.

The Junior Springboks do not yet know who they will face in the semi-finals but after beating defending champions England and thrashing Australia and Scotland, they will head into the last four with plenty of confidence that they can lift their second ever title and first since 2012.
