New York Mets star Juan Soto became the first player in the MLB during the 2025 season to reach 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases during Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Soto stole third base in the top of the eighth inning to secure his 30th of the year - continuing to blow away his previous career high of 12.

The 26-year-old four-time All-Star also knocked in one of the Mets' two runs with an RBI single earlier in the game, making it four in the last seven games.

Soto leads the league with 118 walks and is second in on-base percentage (.399) while hitting .261 with a .921 OPS. He is now just two home runs and seven RBI short of having back-to-back years of at least 40 home runs and 100 RBI.

New York signed Soto to a record-breaking $765 million deal before the season and he's paying off to be the star bat they've hoped he'd be (read more on his deal here).

After losing Tuesday night to the Phillies, the Mets currently hold the third Wild Card spot in the National League with a 76-69 record, having now lost four straight games.

They now have 17 games left in the regular season.
