The NHL dished out a four-game slate on Monday and it wasn't short of excitement as we saw two different home streaks come to an end on top of some overtime thrills!

Islanders 3-2 Devils

After starting the season 7-0-0 at home, the Devils finally lost after Matthew Barzal (4) sent the game-winner home in overtime for the Islanders, who improved to 8-6-2.

Timo Meier (5) took advantage of the power play to put the Devils up 1-0 in the first period.

But Bo Horvat (12) responded in the second with his sixth goals in the past six games as he continues to be one of the hottest goal-scorers in the league.

Kyle Palmieri (5) would give the Isles a 2-1 lead on a power play goal of his own before Simon Nemec scored his first goal of the season with just five seconds left in the game to send it to OT.

Unfortunately for the Devils, they earned their first loss at home, as they fell to 11-4-1 on the season.

Rangers 6-3 Predators

After being the only winless team at home, the Rangers finally gave their fans at Madison Square Garden a win.

After Matthew Wood tied it up 1-1 for the Preds following a Mika Zibanejad (5) goal, the Rangers would score four straight goals and five of the game's last seven to improve to 8-7-2.

Artemi Panarin (5) would score twice for the Rangers, while Wood (6) would score all three goals for the Preds as he completed his first career hat trick.

Unfortunately, it was all for naught as Nashville fell to 5-9-4, having lost three straight.

Oilers 5-4 Blue Jackets

Columbus got out to 3-1 lead, but the Oilers rallied with three goals in the third period, including a fourth for Columbus, as the game was sent to overtime.

Connor McDavid (7) scored two goals for Edmonton, with Jake Walman (3) scoring the other two, including a short-handed one, to force OT, where Jack Roslovic (4) sent it home to complete the comeback, also assisted by Walman.

The Oilers broke their three-game losing streak as they improved to 7-6-4.

As for the Blue Jackets, they've now lost four straight as they fell to 7-7-1.

Florida Panthers 3-2 Vegas Golden Knights

Jesper Boqvist (2) scored in the first period, followed by Brad Marchand (11) in the second to give the Panthers the lead heading into the final frame.

Tomas Hertl and Ivan Barbashev scored goals and Carl Lindbom finished with 17 saves for Vegas, which lost its third straight home game and fell to 2-4-2 over its past eight games.
