Tomorrow, 17th March, the other 13 will discover their fate when the final round takes place, with all eight matches starting at 17:30 CET.
The most fascinating battle will be between four sides separated by just a point, who are all aiming to claim the remaining automatic spot in the quarter-finals, and two of them will go head-to-head.
Also, two teams will fight it out for the last place in the eighth-finals, and another two are looking a secure themselves a place in net season's Champions Hockey League (CHL).
Here is Flashscore's lowdown on what every team needs going into the final round of the regular season.
Tappara - Having missed out last season, the Battle Axe have reclaimed the regular season title once again. A win against Hameenlinna will see them finish with 119 points, but that won't be easy, given what HPK still have to play for.
KooKoo - One of two teams on 112 points, the Kouvola know a regulation-time win over TPS Turku away will guarantee second place and qualify them for next season's CHL.
SaiPa - Also on 112 points and safely assured of a quarter-final place, the Lappeenranta side have one fewer win in regulation time, therefore they must get a better result against Ilves than KooKoo get in Turku to grab second place and the CHL spot.
Ilves - With 104 points and 28 wins in regulation each, a better goal difference (+31) to Lukko's (+27) puts Ilves in fourth ahead of the final round, and if the Lynx can beat SaiPa in 60 minutes by a decent margin, that should be enough for Tampere to have a second representative in the top four.
Lukko - But fresh from beating Ilves in the previous round, Lukko will be confident of beating another direct rival in the last round. The best scenario for the Rauma side will be to take more points at home to KalPa than Ilves take against SaiPa. If Ilves win in regulation, Lukko must do so too and overturn the goal difference.
KalPa - The champions, however, are also coming into this after a big win against JYP that sees them sitting a point behind Ilves and Lukko, but also on 28 regulation wins. Three points against Lukko, and Ilves to take no more than two, sends the Kuopio side to the quarter-finals. If KalPa win in overtime and Ilves lose in overtime, the Lynx will progress on goal difference.
JYP - Level on points with KalPa but with 25 wins in 60 minutes, JYP must beat Assat in three periods, hope that Ilves lose and that KalPa beat Lukko, but only after overtime. Three losses in a row has put JYP's fate out of their hands and dealt their confidence a blow.
Assat - The good news, potentially, for JYP is that the Pori side are guaranteed to finish in eighth place and have nothing to play for, other than extending their two-game winning run ahead of the eighth finals.
Kiekko-Espoo - Another side looking ahead to the eighth-finals, KE have won three in a row, conceding only once. Another victory, against Jukurit, will secure ninth place.
IFK Helsinki - Five wins in a row means HIFK are Liiga's form team at the moment. Two points behind the Espoo side, they will face Pelicans as they look to take ninth and improve their seeding for the eighth finals.
Pelicans - Level with the Helsinki side on 85 points, Pelicans are the third side looking to continue a purple patch and take ninth place. They travel to the capital looking to end HIFK's run, hoping Assat can do them a favour in the meantime.
Hameenlinna - A match against the side sitting in 12th won't be the procession Tappara were hoping for, as HPK will be desperate to secure the final place in the playoffs, which they will do with a win of any kind. A three-match losing run has been littered with missed opportunities already.
TPS Turku - Back-to-back losses means TPS have failed to capitalise on HPK's poor run, and they remain two points behind. With the same number of three-point wins, but with a worse goal difference, TPS must beat KooKoo in 60 minutes and hope Hameenlinna drop points against Tappara.
Jukurit, Karpat and Vaasan Sport - The three sides guaranteed to miss the postseason. One point separates the Mikkeli and Oulu clubs, they will fight for 14th place, with Karpat taking on Sport, who are 23 points behind and have been destined to finish last for several weeks.
