Meanwhile, fresh off their first loss of the season in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have dropped more points this evening, drawing 2-2 with HSV in Hamburg.

And completing the trifecta of results, Atletico Madrid have been held to a 0-0 stalemate by struggling Levante in LaLiga, but they remain third in the standings.

19:32 CET - Over in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich were able to draw themselves level after Hamburger took a shock lead early on.

The league leaders responded like champions elect as Harry Kane equalised in the 42nd minute for his 22nd Bundesliga goal of the season.

19:25 CET - It is half-time at Stamford Bridge and the home side were booed off as they walked down the tunnel after watching their side go 2-0 down to London rivals West Ham in a dreadful 45 minutes of football.

After Bowen's early goal, the in-form Crysencio Summerville doubled the visitors' lead with a brilliant finish inside the box after a smart pullback by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

18:57 CET - Paris FC have produced a dramatic late comeback in front of their own fans against high-flying Marseille to rescue a 2-2 draw in what is a further blow to Roberto De Zerbi's side to end a nightmareish week.

In the other afternoon games, Bournemouth have somewhat fortuitously beaten Wolves 2-0, while Everton have snatched a point in Brighton thanks to a last-gasp equaliser from Beto.

17:28 CET - The full-time whistle is blowing in the Bundesliga and both Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim have seen things out to claim 3-1 wins, although a consolation goal for Union Berlin means Hoffenheim end the day in third on goal difference.

RB Leipzig were unable to turn things around, falling to a 2-1 defeat at home to Mainz which as put them in real danger of dropping out of the top four.

17:11 CET - An upset is brewing in LaLiga, where fourth-placed Villarreal are trailing Osasuna 2-1 at the break. They were title contenders at the start of the year, but the Yellow Submarine is beginning to sink.

Over in France, a clash between Paris FC and Marseille has just gotten underway.

16:47 CET - Hoffenheim go second! They've made it 3-0 and are now about Dortmund on goal difference, and also have a good buffer to fourth as it stands with RB Leipzig now trailing Mainz 2-1.
