Snell recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed just one hit with no walks in his complete eight innings of work.
Rookie sensation Roki Sasaki came in to close things out, but got in a jam after giving up a run on one hit and two walks. Blake Treinen would come in to close things out by striking out Bryce Turang.
Had manager Dave Roberts left Snell in during the ninth, Snell could've become just the fifth pitcher in National League postseason history to throw a complete game shutout in the NLCS.
Two of the others came from Dodgers pitchers as well - Fernando Valenzuela (1982) and Bob Welch (1984).
Things got hectic in the top of the fourth inning after the Dodgers loaded the bases.
Max Muncy hit a drive to deep center field, looking to be a grand slam. But Brewers centerfielder Sal Frelick robbed the home run and eventually got the play at the plate to force a double play and end the inning.
But, after Frelick prevented the homer with his glove, the ball did hit the wall after, which meant the play at home, then at third, which William Contreras tagged, were both force outs.
What everyone was discussing afterwards was how the ball hit the yellow line on the wall and why that wasn't ruled a home run.
However, the Brewers' official ballpark rules states that a "batted ball in flight striking the portion of the pad above the horizontal yellow line in fair territory" is a home run - the ball didn't hit above it after it left Frelick's glove.
But the Dodgers would eventually tack on their first run of the game an inning later with a solo home run from Freddie Freeman.
LA added some insurance in the top of the ninth that proved to be all they needed.
After loading the bases, Brewers reliever Abner Uribe walked Mookie Betts to bring the Dodgers' second run in. Uribe would finish the inning after giving up three walks and one hit with 12 of his 24 pitches going for balls.
The Dodgers finished 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.
The Brewers? They never had a single batter in scoring position until the bottom of the ninth inning, finishing 0-for-1.
