A flurry of Australian Test internationals will begin to make their way back to the Big Bash League this weekend. Find out who will and won't be available for their T20 franchises for the remainder of the season.

Brisbane Heat have selected Test pair Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja, the latter having recently retired from all international cricket, in their 14-man squad to host Sydney Thunder at The Gabba on Saturday afternoon.

Khawaja, who played in nine separate BBL seasons for the Thunder before his move to Queensland, made only three appearances for the Heat across the previous two seasons with scores of 28, 14 and 23.

Labuschagne fared much better in his three such games with 45, 30 and 77 to improve his all-time BBL average to 23.

Seven other members of the Sydney Test squad are available from this weekend, including Brendan Doggett who will make his Melbourne Renegades debut on Saturday night in a home derby against the Stars at Marvel Stadium.

36-year-old fast bowler Scott Boland has been relieved of his BBL duties after playing all five Ashes matches, as has leading runscorer Travis Head and Test captain Pat Cummins, both of whom are being managed ahead of the T20 World Cup along with the uncontracted Cameron Green.
