Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton will be out for the next four weeks after being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

The 22-year-old rookie running back was seen walking around in a boot following the Chargers' loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Hampton had been coming into his own the prior two weeks, recording at least 120 total yards and one touchdown in back-to-back games.

He left Sunday's matchup with 12 rushes for 44 yards and a team-leading six receptions for 26 yards.

With both Hampton out for four weeks and Najee Harris out for the season, Los Angeles will turn to Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal as the team's running backs in the meantime.

The Chargers are coming off back-to-back losses against the New York Giants and the Commanders. They'll look to end that skid in their Week 6 matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, October 12th.
