The 2025 MLB All-Star Game garnered 7.2 million viewers on Tuesday night - maintaining its status as the most-watched All-Star event across sports in North America.

In comparison, the recent NBA All-Star Game and NFL Pro Bowl reached around 4.7 million viewers, respectively.

The NHL was null and void since they went with the Four Nations Face-Off tournament, which was a hit in its own right.

But the Mid-Summer Classic continues to reign supreme in the US over all other sports, especially after a night that went down in baseball history as fans and players alike got to witness the first-ever home run swing-off to determine the game's winner.

A swing-off was decided after the game ended 6-6 following an insane comeback by the American League in the bottom of the ninth, leaving both teams with no more pitchers left.

The new format was introduced to stop any ties from happening in the All-Star Game and it became a hit (pun intended).

And, thanks to Kyle Schwarber's three home runs during the swing-off in which batters only get three swings, the National League ended up defeating the American League for the second time in the past three years.

Baseball ratings continue to go up. Earlier this year, ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball matchup between the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers reached a record high for the famous sports station.

On June 10th, the matchup between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees reached over 3 million viewers, the most of any regular season matchup on any television station since 2022.
