Hall of Fame quarterback and Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw (76) slammed the possibility of Aaron Rodgers (41) signing with the historic franchise before the upcoming season.

"That's a joke. That to me is just a joke," said Bradshaw in a radio interview with 103.7 The Buzz. "What are you gonna do? Bring Rodgers in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there."

Rodgers, a future Hall of Famer himself, has been in talks with the Steelers throughout the offseason about possibly signing with them.

The veteran quarterback also recently stated that he has zero interest in joining the New Orleans Saints, who are without a bonafide starting quarterback of their own after Derek Carr announced his retirement.

Pittsburgh drafted Ohio State quarterback Will Howard in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, who some look towards as the new starter in a quarterback room with Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson, the latter of whom has only started three games in his career.

Howard was also given praise from Super Bowl-winning head coach Jon Gruden, who said he was the best quarterback in the draft.

The Steelers refused to re-sign Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, who now play for separate New York teams, while former quarterback Kenny Pickett, who they let go, ended up winning a Super Bowl recently as the backup on the Philadelphia Eagles

And Bradshaw thought they should've at least kept Pickett.

"I liked Kenny Pickett," Bradshaw said. "I liked him at the University of Pittsburgh. I know him, I know what he's like. When they got him to (the Steelers), they didn't protect him, they didn't get him an offensive line. They wanted to run the football, but they didn't have an offensive line that could protect and they didn't have weapons. He had no wide receivers to speak of."

"Then they throw a kid in there for two years, and you've got an offense that doesn't fit and doesn't work, and they can't run because their offensive line's not even good enough for a run-blocking team. Now, they're saying Kenny Pickett is a failure. He wasn't a failure, the Steelers were a failure."

Pittsburgh hasn't advanced past the Wild Card round in the NFL Playoffs since 2017, but finished 10-7 in back-to-back seasons.
