The second day of the NFL combine took place in Indianapolis on Friday. For the day, the defensive backs and tight ends came out to show what they had to offer.

Joshua Simon (College: South Carolina)

Perhaps the most impressive of the tight ends, Joshua Simon had a solid showing at the combine.

His 40-yard dash time was 4.66, which was the second fastest in his position. As for the vertical, the 24-year-old managed a jump of 38'00", also second best among tight ends. His 10-yard sprint was 1.58, the seventh fastest.

The number two seemed to be a theme for the Gamecock, who posted a 10'4-inch broad jump. That also managed to be the second best across the tight ends.

Maxwell Hairston (College: Kentucky)

Another prospect who had a good performance was Kentucky Wildcat Maxwell Hairston. The corner posted the best 40-yard run at 4.28, which is very good. Over 10 yards, his split was 1.50.

A 39.50-inch vertical ranked second for corners, while Hairston also managed a 10'9" vertical, good for third best. All-in-all, he can be quite happy with how the day went.

Terrence Ferguson (College: Oregon)

The best of the tight end core was undoubtedly Terrence Ferguson, as the 22-year-old Oregon product topped his position in all but one event.

For the 40-yard dash, Ferguson clocked a time of 4.63. For the 10-yard version, he exploded for a 1.55 timing. Both of these were the best for tight ends.

His vertical was exactly 39 inches, also number one in his position. The sole exercise he did not end with the best score was the broad jump, where his 10'2" was only good for third. Nevertheless, Ferguson had to be pleased with what he did.

Darien Porter (College: Iowa State)

Iowa State Cyclone Darien Porter was one of the best corners in three of the four events. Starting with his 40, he ran 4.30 seconds, which was the second best time. His 10-yard sprint was even more impressive, as the 1.49 was the best on the day overall.

The one event that let him down was his vertical, with the 36 inches achieved being just the ninth best for corners. However, Ferguson did make up for it with a broad jump of 10'11", the second best of the day for corner backs.

Caleb Rainsaw (College: Tulane)

Caleb Rainsaw of Tulane posted consistent marks across the board. A 40-yard run of 4.33 was the third best in his position, as well as overall. Over 10 yards, he clocked 1.52, which was fourth best.

With a 40-inch vertical Rainsaw had the best reach for the corners, and second best overall. Tied for third in broad jump, he managed 10'9".
