After going through a perfectly healthy collegiate career, Pearsall previously missed a total of 14 games with the 49ers after being shot in the chest (six games) and dealing with his PCL last year (eight games).
Now, the third-year receiver will be sidelined for an entire season for the first time in his career.
Pearsall posted a career-high 528 yards on 36 receptions through nine games last season with the 49ers, a season removed from his rookie year, in which he posted 31-400-3.
The news comes shortly after the team brought back veteran wide receiver Deebo Samuel on a one-year, $7 million deal. Samuel played with the Washington Commanders last season after spending the first six years of his career with the 49ers.
San Fran will start their regular season on September 10th against the Los Angeles Rams in primetime.
