Brighton will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League and continue their impressive recent form against Leeds

Match News and Current Form

It has been an indifferent start to the season for Brighton, after a 4-2 defeat to Manchester United made it three wins, three draws and three losses in the Premier League this term. A return to the Amex after that disappointment will be welcomed, as the Seagulls are unbeaten in eight home league games (W4, D4). This campaign though, they have conceded eight Premier League goals before half-time and scored just three, but their resolve in that time can be highlighted by their return of seven points gained from losing positions, a joint-high in the division!

After losing to Tottenham and Burnley, Leeds responded last Friday by beating West Ham 2-1 to lift themselves further away from the relegation places. That latest encounter now gives the visitors here the chance to record consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since November 2022, although as they have followed up their last six wins in the competition with negative results (D1, L5), more success is far from guaranteed. The Whites have also lost eight of their last nine top-flight away outings (W1), conceding 2.66 goals per match in the process, further adding doubt to the prospect of a three-point haul here.

Head-to-Head History

Brighton have never lost in six Premier League H2Hs (W3, D3) - the most times that they have faced a side in the competition without losing and the most times that Leeds have faced a team in the division without winning.

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

Charalampos Kostoulas got his first Brighton goal at the weekend, but his previous four league goals have all arrived at home. Leeds midfielder Sean Longstaff has three goal contributions in his last four Premier League games (G1, A2), with his second-to-last strike in the competition coming against the Seagulls.

Brighton's James Milner is doubtful for this fixture against his former club, while Leeds may be without Wilfried Gnonto and Gabriel Gudmundsson

Betting Analysis

With their strong H2H record, and with their last eight home league games averaging 3.5 goals, the Brighton win and over 2.5 goals market looks appealing.
